Your Expected End
By Barrie

Then Yahweh will
scatter you (send you into captivity) among the nations. Among those nations you
will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your feet. There Yahweh
will give you an anxious mind. Eyes weary with longing and a despairing heart.
You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never
sure of your life. In the morning you will say, “if only it was evening,” and in
the evening you will say, “if only it were morning!” Because of the terror that
will fill your hearts and the sights that you eyes will see. (Deut. 28:64-67).
In a survey compiled
by government advisors every 4 years to be handed to the president elect as
world trends to be aware of, it is predicted that by the year 2025, we will no
longer be considered a ruling nation in the world. China will be the likely
candidate. China is buying our land, businesses, and natural resources such as
steel and wood products as fast as they become available. Because they have an
enormous workforce that slaves away for pennies on the dollar that their
communist government controls, major companies here send our raw materials there
to be manufactured and assembled which in turn causes us job loss and economic
decline; and as a result of that, we are forced to borrow money from them to
bail out our banks and companies. America has sold itself and everything it
stood for in its pursuit of wealth and fame.
How did we end up in
this situation? Where does Yahweh fit into all of this? Parallel examples of
what we are experiencing are found throughout scripture. Time and time again
Yahweh raised up a patriarch, prophet, judge, or king to lead His people back to
Him. Let’s take a look at the book of Judges. The book of Judges describes 12
military leaders (not magistrates) sent by Yahweh to aid and relieve His people.
The purpose of this book is to show that the blessings of Israel depended upon
the obedience or disobedience of the people to Yahweh’s law (Torah). When they
rebelled against Him, they were oppressed by pagan nations; when they repented
He raised Judges to deliver them. Learning and understanding Deut. 28 is a key
to understanding the rise and fall of nations throughout civilization and a key
to understanding our current situation in the world.
If we see the
present situation being as serious as I just described, then we are definitely
not living in the first 14 verses, which are describing the blessings. We must
be living in the rest of the chapter, which are the curses. The final words of
Yahweh, through Moses are given from chapters 27 to 34. The Israelites were
camped in the plains of Moab ready to advance to the river Jordan. They had all
the tools necessary to be a great nation. They had Yahweh’s law. But time and
time again they rebelled against Yahweh’s law until finally they were scattered
across the world, hidden so well that we today question our bloodline, wondering
if we might be part of the lost tribes. A few centuries ago a group of people,
tired of the oppression of the church-state government that ruled land and
doctrine crossed a bigger “river” and established a republic where separation of
church and state was the key of success. Man was free to worship, which meant
man was free to pursue a real Elohim or to interpret scripture freely. Let’s
look at one case where true scripture was discovered in 2 Kings 22:8 to 23:3.
The book of the Law (Torah) was found, and King Josiah commanded major reform,
destroying the pagan idols and banishing the false priests, and re-establishing
True Worship.
Interestingly, this country, the USA,
although we have been raised with a watered down version of scripture, had an
opportunity to find the real, and did live in the blessings part of Deut. 28 for
a time, but after a couple of generations, chose to rebel and follow false
elohim, and to disobey Yahweh’s Torah (law) that was given through Moses to the
people. Who put us in the situation we are now in? Deut. 28:64 says, “Yahweh
will scatter you.” Yahweh said he would cause these curses to come upon us. Why?
Satan has not cursed us! Our government officials have not cursed us! Yahweh has
cursed us! Why would He curse us?
First reason is
because we have rebelled against Him and broke fellowship with Him. Let’s look
at Ephesians 1:4 …”as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to
be holy and without blemish before Him.” Yahweh chose us to be His own before He
called the world into being. It should give us a better idea of why He hates our
life of sin. Our actions have created separation from Him.
To heal this Holy relationship, He curses us and takes us into captivity.
Second reason is
because He has a purpose for our lives, quite different than what we are
pursuing. The Bible says in Colossians 1:16, “For in Him were created all things
in heaven and earth. The visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
principalities or powers all things were created through Him and for Him.”
Yahweh did not create us so we could live a life of our own choosing. He made us
for His purposes. Only righteous ones can be found in Him. Yahweh is our
creator; He alone knows what we were created to be. Ephesians 2:10 says this:
“For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah (Yahshua) for the good works
that Yahweh has prepared in advance, that we should live in them.”
Before we were born,
Yahweh made a special plan for our lives. Sadly, most of us have been pursuing
our own plans - not His! Everyone was created by Yahweh to serve a special
purpose, but most have no idea what that purpose is. In fact, numerous people go
through life pursuing things that they think they are supposed to do without
ever consulting Yahweh to find out what He actually made them to be. Here is the
main reason Yahweh brings us under curses and into captivity: To form us back
into what we were originally created for and to reveal it to us, and to give us
our special purpose. The Bible has a name for this purpose; it is called “our
expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11, KJV says: For I know the thoughts that I
think toward you says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you your
expected end. This
Scripture reads a little different in each Bible but all mean the same. Our
expected end is what He originally planned for us. Everyone has an expected end
but few ever find it. This is not a study to figure out how to save our country
from China or to get out of a recession so we can continue to live our lives in
whatever way we have been. We are going to learn through this study that the
Deut. 28 curses are specifically designed by Yahweh to prepare us for our
assignment and help us discover what it is.
Let’s think about
the conversations we have together about how we see and understand things in
scripture that others don’t or can’t. We are blessed that we understand enough
to know about the new 1,000-year millennium, and the new city of Jerusalem and
what we are supposed to be doing there at that time. We will not be keeping
Christmas/New Years/Easter, or worshipping “Jesus” or Buddha or the sun or a
cross! Scripture does not mention any of that. It does say we are to be
teachers, keeping the Law, with our High Priest, Yahshua. Could it be that we
are seeing a glimpse of what our expected end is to be?
Isn’t it a blessing
to understand these things? Yahweh’s plan for us, and the keys to finding our
expected end can be found locked away in scripture. How do we find the keys to
unlock this treasure? We must receive the blessing of understanding scripture.
We must not question Him, only obey Him. Look at Deut. 28:1-3. We must sincerely
and diligently search Him out.
(Deu 28:1-3 KJV)
"And it shall come to pass, if you shalt hearken diligently unto the
voice of Yahweh thy Elohim, to observe and to do all his commandments which I
command you this day, that Yahweh thy Elohim will set you on high above all
nations of the earth: {2} And all these blessings shall come on you, and
overtake you, if you shalt hearken unto the voice of Yahweh thy Elohim. {3}
Blessed shalt you be in the city, and blessed shalt you be in the field."
Yahweh
gave the list of blessings and curses to the Israelites to help keep them on the
right track while they lived in Canaan. Using the blessings as incentives, He
promised to supernaturally increase those who would continue to obey His
commandments. However, curses in the form of catastrophes would come upon those
who chose do disobey.
Let’s take a closer
look at the blessings and curses so we can fully understand the purposes Yahweh
intended for them. First, the list of blessings, Deut. 28:7-8 & 12-13:
(Deu 28:7-8 KJV)
"Yahweh shall cause thine enemies that rise up against you to be smitten
before thy face: they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you
seven ways. {8} Yahweh shall command the blessing upon you in thy storehouses,
and in all that you settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land
which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth you."
(Deu 28:12-13
KJV) "Yahweh shall open unto you
his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and
to bless all the work of thine hand: and you shalt lend unto many nations, and
you shalt not borrow. {13} And Yahweh shall make you the head, and not the tail;
and you shalt be above only, and you shalt not be beneath; if that you hearken
unto the commandments of Yahweh thy Elohim, which I command you this day, to
observe and to do them:"
Yahweh offered His
people incentives to do good by promising that He would bless the lives of those
who chose to obey Him. Notice how the verses are worded:
Yahweh will grant or command;
Yahweh will open;
Yahweh will make!
These scriptures
make it plain who is in control. Yahweh is Elohim and His power can accomplish
anything. In the above scriptures, Yahweh promised to direct His people,
circumstances, even nature itself to make sure His obedient people get blessed.
But what would happen to those who choose not to obey? Yahweh said they would be
cursed. Look at Deut. 28:15, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29:
15
But it shall come to pass, if you wilt not hearken unto the voice of
Yahweh thy Elohim, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which
I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake
you: 22 Yahweh shall smite you with
a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme
burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall
pursue you until you perish.
24 Yahweh shall make the rain of
thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon you, until you be
destroyed. 25 Yahweh shall cause
you to be smitten before thine enemies: you shalt go out one way against them,
and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of
the earth. 28 Yahweh shall smite
you with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: 29
And you shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and you
shalt not prosper in thy ways: and you shalt be only oppressed and spoiled
evermore, and no man shall save you.
When we are in
disobedience to Yahweh we are in sin. Sin separates us from Yahweh and His
purpose for our lives. Disobedience brings consequences. Yahweh said in
Deuteronomy that those consequences would come in the form of curses and He
would be the enforcer. Notice again how the wording of the scripture proves
Yahweh’s sovereignty and ability to carry out His threats! Yahweh will strike!
Yahweh will cause! Yahweh will afflict!
Yahweh is willing
and capable of moving the very forces of nature in order to bless His obedient
children. However, He is also ready to stop the rain from falling, cause total
defeat and make His people unsuccessful in everything they do. Why would Yahweh
do such seemingly horrible things to His people? Yahweh loves His people and He
corrects us from continuing in our sins and prolonging our entry into our
inheritance.
Will we as a nation
repent so that we can return to the blessings that our Father wants to give us
in this life? I don’t think so. Our High Priest and Messiah left us a vision
through John in the book of Revelation of what the expected end would be for the
masses. Rev. 13:3 & 8,
Rev 13:3
One of its heads seemed to have received a death-blow, but its mortal
wound had been healed. In amazement the whole earth followed the beast. 8
and all the inhabitants of the earth will worship it, everyone whose name
has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the
Lamb that was slaughtered.
This nation today
follows the Beast. We elect officials who will allow us to live the way we
choose to live. These ways have nothing to do with the Law of Yahweh. Our
actions show that we don’t need Yahweh or His Holy Law.
Another point I
would like to make is that there was always a remnant of Yahweh’s people even
though the rest of the world was corrupt. Example: turn to 1 Kings 19:9-10 & 18:
1 Ki 19:9-10
At that place he came to a cave, and spent the night there. Then the word
of Yahweh came to him, saying, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" He answered,
"I have been very zealous for Yahweh, the Elohim of hosts; for the Israelites
have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets
with the sword. I alone am left, and they are seeking my life, to take it
away."18 (Yahweh said) Yet I will
leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and
every mouth that has not kissed him."
He has always left a
remnant and even though they suffered through the curses with the rest of the
world, they will receive their expected end, which is eternal life with our High
Priest, Yahshua. Let’s look at Rev. 3:5-13:
(Rev 3:5-13 KJV)
"He who overcomes, the same
shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the
book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his
angels. {6} He who has an ear, let
him hear what the Spirit says unto the assemblies, {7} And to the angel of the
assembly in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is
true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts,
and no man opens; {8} I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open
door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my
word, and have not denied my name. {9} Behold, I will make them of the synagogue
of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make
them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
{10} Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from
the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that
dwell upon the earth. {11} Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you
have, that no man take your crown. {12} He who overcomes will I make a pillar in
the temple of my El, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the
name of my El, and the name of the city of my El, which is new Jerusalem, which
comes down out of heaven from my El: and I will write upon him my new name. {13}
He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the assemblies."
So what must we do
to keep these curses from our own lives and the lives of the remnant whom He
holds in reserve? What must we do to claim the blessings? Repent, seek Yahweh’s
will daily, and be baptized in the name of Yahshua. Accept Yahshua as our
Messiah and follow everything He commanded, holding nothing back. Let’s look at
what Paul says about the Messiah in Galatians 3:13-14:
(Gal 3:13-14 KJV)
"The Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a
curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: {14}
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Yahshua the
Messiah; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
Ignorant people say that this verse does away with the Law. They don’t understand Scripture. The “curse of the Law” is the death penalty (Rom. 6:23). Galatians says His blood set us free from the curses of Deut. 28 which we so rightly deserve. The curse of the Law is broken for us when we accept the blood of the Lamb. His sacrifice broke those curses. He defeated those curses, bringing us freedom from them and from the death penalty, and by this same sacrifice He won the right for us to receive the blessings of Abraham now, and eternal life in the future. May Yahweh’s blessings be yours! HalleluYAH! ~
