Yahweh's Holy Things

Yahweh is the only being in the universe who has the power and authority to declare who and what is holy. The word "holy" means sacred, pure, blameless, consecrated. It means to be set apart for Yahweh's purpose and use. Let's look at a few of many examples:
First, Yahweh declares that He Himself is holy: Lev. 11:44-45 For I am Yahweh your Elohim: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: This is repeated in 1 Peter 1:16. We, as His followers, are declared by Him "holy" if we truly follow and obey Him.
Exo 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yahweh thy Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yahweh blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it (made it holy).
Here we find that the Sabbath day, the 24-hour period from evening of Friday, the 6th day, until evening of Saturday, the 7th day, is holy time. It belongs to Him. It is holy because He placed His presence in it. But man "knows" better. He prefers to follow the custom of the people and worship on Sunday.
His Name is holy: Ezek 39:7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel.
There are eleven scriptures in 10 verses that quote Yahweh directly saying His Name is holy. There are another 5 verses that quote His prophets saying, "His Holy Name." 1 Chron 16:10; Psalms33:21, 103:1, 105:3, and 145:21. Here again, man thought he knew better. He took Yahweh's Name out of most translations and inserted substitutes such as "the LORD," and "GOD." This is a serious violation of Yahweh's prohibition against "adding to" and "taking away from" His Holy Word (which Word is also holy, I might add). All that He has declared HOLY, we had better treat as holy. There are MANY more, but I've run out of space. See you next month. <>
